Also located on the Seabreeze Boulevard and a little more upmarket is the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, which stands on the beachfront itself and comes with two outdoor swimming pools, live entertainment and a full-service restaurant.

For luxury accommodation in this coastal Floridian city, there are a few hotels that certainly spring to mind. The Hilton Beach Resort on the North Fort Lauderdale Boulevard stands between the Las Olas and Sunrise boulevards, and features private balconies with wonderful panoramas of the Atlantic. Just a short stroll to the south will lead you to the sumptuous and rather pricey five-star Ritz Carlton Resort, which boasts stunning views across both the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
